Servicewomen Input Data During a Training with the Joint Force Medical Group

Army and Royal Navy medics input data to a computer during a training package designed to prepare them for a deployment to Afghanistan with the UK Joint Force Medical Group (UK JF Med Gp).
The exercise took place at the Army Medical Services Training Centre (AMSTC), Strensall, York and was designed to simulate the working environments they would encounter in Afghanistan working through a considerable number of scenarios based on real time situations.
Over 250 tri-Service Medical and logistical staff from all over the UK and Germany took part in Mission Specific Training.

Looking for hope - North Belize Medical Mission

Maddie and I just returned late last night from central America. We were fortunate to meet many new people who we now call friends and many more who touched our lives forever. Over 5 days we were able to work in 4 different villages in the northern Corozal district of Belize including Patchakan, Conception, San Juaquin and Corozal. This was our second trip with the mission team put together by the wonderful Bob Wolfert, of the Church of Christ in Bryan, Texas. Forty other people contributed to this effort, many who you will learn about over the coming days as I start to work through some of the images from this expedition into the heart of a country that has much need.
The young girl above was part of a large extended family that lived communally in a ramshackle collection of buildings across the road from the hotel we were based out of. "Mr. Bob" had befriended the family over the last several years, yet they were never bold enough to attend one the team's clinics in Corozal. Therefore on the first day we were there preparing for the week to come, we brought the clinic to them.....a home visit was a great way to start and just what this family needed.
