Question by yupyup :D: What genre would A Long Way Gone, Memoirs of a Boy Soldier by Ishmael Beah be?

I just read A Long Way Gone, Memoirs of a Boy Soldier by Ishmael Beach (which I loved) and now I need to write a report on it, but I was wondering if anyone knew whether it is an autobiography or non-fiction or both. Thanks!

Have seen this book and read about it before, but leave safe link for your own further exploration: can 'look inside.' Be sure you're in Books, then start typing title: a drop-down menu will show this one to click on. Click on book to separate it, then again to see menu of what you see inside: back cover has lots of info as do more pages.

This book is a true memoir.
It's autobiographical, and that word alone ('autobiography') shows it to be nonfiction.

ADD: You do not call a book 'nonfiction autobiography.'
There is not a genre named that.
This book is an autobiography, thus understood to be nonfiction.
